What is a business intranet?
A traditional intranet helps employees find internal announcements, policies, documents and links. It can be valuable even without deep connections to operational systems.
What is a modular business workspace?
A business workspace extends the employee home base with configurable tasks, schedules, reporting, business information and approved integration points. It can overlap with an intranet without replacing every specialized application.
Which should you choose?
If the main problem is finding company information, a well-organized intranet may be enough. If teams repeatedly switch between tools to do work or prepare reports, a configurable workspace may address more of the underlying friction.
What about AI?
AI is optional. It may help summarize permitted information or streamline routine work, but it should not bypass permissions or replace accurate source data.
First questions to ask
- Where do employees spend time searching for information?
- Which existing systems already work well?
- Which data can be read or synchronized with permission?
- Who needs access, and which changes should be protected?
